Install FlecBase for Android
FlecBase is currently in pre-release and available as a direct download. It's not on the Google Play Store yet — here's how to install it on your Android phone in about 2 minutes.

Before you start
- Android phone running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or newer
- A FlecBase account — sign up free here if you haven't already
- About 50 MB of free storage space
- Wi-Fi or mobile data connection
Installation steps
Download the APK
Tap the Download APK button above on your Android phone. The file will download — you'll see a notification when it's done.

Allow installation from this source
When you tap the downloaded file, Android will ask you to allow installing apps from your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc). This is normal for apps that aren't from the Play Store yet.
Tap "Settings" when prompted, then toggle "Allow from this source" to on.
Install the app
Tap "Install" when prompted. The installation takes a few seconds. Once complete, tap "Open" to launch FlecBase.
Log in
Enter the email and password you used when you created your FlecBase account. The app will sync your workspace settings, custom fields, and any data your admin has sent to your phone.
That's it — you're ready to capture photos, add notes, and sync data from the field.
What to do first
- Go to Settings → Refresh Configuration to pull your team's custom fields and groups
- Check your Inbox for any work items sent by your admin
- Try creating a record — tap + and add a Person, Asset, or Event
- Take some photos and add notes — they'll sync to your CRM automatically
Updating the app
During pre-release, updates are delivered as new APK downloads. When we release an update, we'll let you know via email. Just download the new APK and install it — it will update over the top of the existing app without losing your data.
Once FlecBase is on the Google Play Store, updates will be automatic.
Troubleshooting
"App not installed" error
This usually means there's an older version installed. Go to Settings → Apps → FlecBase → Uninstall, then try installing the new APK again.
"Install blocked" or "Unknown sources" message
Your phone is protecting you from unknown apps. Go to Settings → Security (or Settings → Apps → Special Access → Install unknown apps) and allow your browser to install apps.
App crashes on launch
Make sure you're running Android 8.0 or later. Check your Android version: Settings → About Phone → Android Version. If the issue persists, email us at support@flecbase.com with your phone model and Android version.
Can't log in
Make sure you've created an account at app.flecbase.com/crm/register first. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen. Check that your phone has an internet connection.
Photos not syncing
Photos sync when you have a data connection. If you're in an area with poor signal, photos will queue and sync automatically when connectivity returns. You can also force a sync from Settings → Sync Now.
